The Story of ZipString
At ZipString, we chase one thing above all: the Smile of Wonderment—that wide-eyed, jaw-dropped moment when curiosity turns into pure joy. It’s what drives our team to invent the most innovative, unexpected toys in the world.
It all began in December 2020, when Georgia Tech student Stephen Fazio took on a class project with one rule: build a circuit board smaller than a credit card that can do anything! Inspired by a YouTube video from Bruce Yeany showcasing a bench-top string shooter, Stephen thought, “What if you could hold it in your hand and control it at its source?” So he did. Using his train card as the template, he built the world’s first handheld flying string shooter.
